What
is history?

History
is the study of the past and the present which enables learners to predict the
future. In order to be an all-round citizen, one must have a deep understanding
of his historical background.

The
meaning of history encompasses several dimensions, integrating the study,
analysis, and interpretation of past events and their impact on the present and
future. At its core, history is about understanding how past human actions,
decisions, cultures, and civilizations have shaped the world we live in today.
It involves a careful examination of records, artifacts, and narratives to construct
a coherent account of past events.

Why
should you Study History?

Have
you ever wondered why is History important as a subject? If you go through the
definition of history, you will understand what it is and why it is so
important. History introduces the idea of human existence. It gives a sense of
identity, cultural and social background, and meaning in life. It also teaches
us about various human affairs, including religious affairs, political affairs
and regional boundaries. Knowing History and analysing its various facts can
help kids to build up critical thinking. As a result, they can think
differently, with much knowledge and intelligence.
