Marking Scheme
The marking scheme plays a crucial role in exam performance. It provides transparency regarding how students’ answers translate into marks.
Distribution of Marks
Understanding the distribution of marks for various sections helps students strategize their exam time effectively. Certain sections may carry more marks, making it essential to devote adequate time to them.
Negative Marking
In some exams, negative marking is implemented for incorrect answers in objective questions. Being aware of negative marking prompts students to consider their answers carefully before guessing.
Grading System
Some institutions utilize a grading system that converts marks into letter grades, which can affect students’ academic standing. Familiarizing oneself with this system allows students to set realistic goals for their performance.
