You can develop your communication skills by making a conscious effort to improve and putting yourself in situations where you can practice and develop them. Many teachers strengthen their public speaking skills when they’re in teachers’ college and gain practical experience in a classroom under the supervision of a more experienced mentor. You can ask students for clarification when you don’t understand their initial question or statement to improve your listening skills. This can help you develop a positive approach to communication and understand your students better.
