Teachers should see themselves as all part of the same team, rather than only interacting with other teachers in their department. Opportunities for cross-discipline learning can be overlooked if teachers don’t collaborate with teachers in other subjects. For example, a Chemistry teacher can design a visual stimulus about a Chemistry topic and an English teacher can design a written piece of assessment. By asking students to produce a written response on a scientific topic, their content knowledge of Chemistry and written English skills are being improved simultaneously.
