You can also ask teachers about their student recognition program, how much communication you should expect about your child’s progress, and how much one-on-one time they spend with students. Listen for answers that would require paying close attention to individual students and that allow students to express themselves in the classroom.

Students learn best when they are comfortable with their teachers. They will not learn from someone they feel doesn’t know them or even like them.
