Lab Sections really do matter
Sections
are constructed to highlight and guide you through particularly important
concepts and chemical phenomena. Make sure that you can apply the main concepts
of each section before the next exam. A good way to see if you are applying
concepts rather than memorizing them is by checking to see if you can explain
WHY to every step you’re doing in a problem. Also make sure to finish any extra
practice problems offered in section and on the lab-write-ups.
5.
Take Notes during Classes
Always
take notes when you study. Chemistry is a detailed subject and needs close
attention and observation in many topics. When attending school classes
or Chemistry tuition near you, try to take
notes as much as possible. You can refer to these notes for Chemistry Class 10
board preparations. The same can be applied to the Class 9 Chemistry syllabus
too. Lessons prepared by teachers are aimed at explaining concepts in the
simplest forms. These lessons also contain important topics and questions from
an examination point of view. Taking notes during classes can create a good
study resource. Besides, it helps you memorise the basic concepts related to
them.
6.
Work problems until you can teach the material to someone else
You should do every problem from each chapter. If you run out of problems, find another text or look online. If you are stuck on a problem, consult the text before asking for help (Use the index!). If you cannot solve a problem in about 15 minutes, you are probably missing an important step or detail. Go back and review your textbook as well as lecture notes. Return to difficult problems after you have had more practice.
